Alvaro Quevedo begins his career at 17 when his curiosity drove him onto a movie set. At that moment he came in contact with his own sensitivity, and his knack for observation and investigation behind a camera. Which is why in Peru he begins to work as a director’s assistant for prestigious directors. He studied at the National Institute of Telecommunications in Peru, studied Art in Lima and finally studied Cinematography in Baltimore, Maryland. At 28 he directed his first commercial and now his talent has taken him to places like the US, Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Ghana, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama and more. Some of his clients include Coca Cola, Pepsi, McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, Job Bank, Procter & Gamble, Tigo, Claro, Scotiabank, Sony, KFC, SAB Miller, Ripley, Big Cola, among others. Spanning his career he has filmed over 200 individual commercials, and has been awarded prizes at various festivals during his travels of the world. Quevedo has become known in his work for his sensitivity, strength, energy and the freedom he transmits through images, his visualization and his peculiar esthetic style.
